On my new T4-1 I found that hard drives have different logical path:
So, why disk 0 used scsi_vhci, but disk 1 used the full path?
Cross-posted to at one other forum web site:
It would have been polite of you to have mentioned that fact.
This disk is not from us based on handbook list and we cannot guarantee that each disks in the market will work if they doesn't follow standards.
Please check this URL for more details and how you can try to add the disk in SCSI VHCI config : http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19253-01/816-5177/6mbbc4gal/index.html
Thanks a lot for your reply. As I catch from your previous message, the scsi_vhci dosen't know about vendor and product of the HP-EG0300FAWHV-HPDE hard drive, am I right?
I checked available hard drives for this model and found only a SE6X3G12Z part number on page https://shop.oracle.com/pls/ostore/product?p1=SPARCT41Server&p2=&p3=&p4=&intcmp=ocom_SPARCServers_SPARC_T4_1_Server
Could you please provide me a link to the handbook to determine is hard drive is suitable for the server or not?
