BCC Agent refers to production site using RMI.
If 188.8.131.52 is public ip of the machine and u agent pointing to 184.108.40.206, then ur production should be running on 220.127.116.11 machine.
It is also possible that there is public and private ip in case VM machines. So What u are seeing in agent is private ip.In that case u should change it to public ip,Once should not rely on private ip, They can change more frequently.
My Question is why both should point to same (leave about public and private ip)
Whatever change u doing from from BCC, U would like to get reflected in production site.
Agent is required so that ur changed done from BCC, can be pushed to production during deployment phase.
So Agent is nothing but a reference link to ur production site.
If we deploy a project in Bcc data will be persisted in DB and my application we get the data from data base irrespective of agent
in this case how agent will come into picture

If u are using non-switching datasource, No isssues.Data is already persisted in db.
But if u are suing switching datasource, u need to change live site database.
Yes, Data will get persisted in db, But u may also need to invalidate cache,So that ur site doesn't show old data.
AND there are other changes to apart from db changes like asset deployment. Those need to be move to production site localconfig.
