When you clone the Oracle Apps system, you only need to run setup_clean. It will clean out topology information or APPS/EBS connection information from the system.
If you do not want any printer setup info, log/out info or profile info carried from source on the target clones system, then please execute target_clean.
When I refresh, I run Exec fnd_conc_clone.setup_clean; and then run RDBMS autoconfig ($OH/appsutil) and then autoconfig on the apps node. Thereafter all the topology information will be populated. When I refresh, I take a backup of target context file, tns ifile, sqlnet ifile. It is safe not to have any information of PROD in the FND tables.
how we can revert using backup
If you want to revert the changes, you need to have a backup of FND_NODES.
If someone exec fnd_conc_clone.target_clean on production server, then what are consequences and how we can revert using backup
Your application will not work as expected, and end-users may get blank login page when accessing the application and for the connected users, this would impact the functionality of concurrent managers/requests.
To populate the tables, run AutoConfig again on all tier nodes.
If running AutoConfig is not option then you have to restore the table from a backup (as mentioned above).
we can ran autoconfig on production server, but it can not repopulate all tables.
I can manually again set profile by seeing table from backup of database.
But i want to know what other consequences of this.If you see procedure of target_clean,you can know it truncate many tables. So can we discuss each table use and their revert process.
Thanks all for their response on this discussion
Please refer to the package body (search for "procedure target_clean") to find what tables are purged -- http://etrm.oracle.com/pls/et1211d9/etrm_pnav.show_details?c_name=FND_CONC_CLONE&c_owner=APPS&c_type=PACKAGE%20BODY&c_de…
As we mentioned above, populating those tables can either be done by running AutoConfig or restoring the tables from a backup.
For the impact, apart from what we mentioned above, please search MOS website for "FND_CONC_CLONE" and go through the docs.
