Adding a new language in EBS - VISION(12.1.3)

    780293

      Hi All,

I installed vision on Linux-x86(32bit) and upgraded it to 12.1.3 successfully. After upgrading I want to enable Arabic language.

I followed couple of threads but got confused as to apply the NLS base language release for 12.1.1 or directly go for 12.1.3.

      Done with the pre-req's

I already followed the document id

Can anyone give me the exact steps and patches to be applied in order to get the Arabic Language enable on 12.1.3 on my VM-Machine

I followed step given by Hussein

      1. From Oracle Applications Manager, go to License Manager and activate or change your base language to a new one.

      2. From AD Administration, run Maintain Multi-lingual Tables (AD Administration Main Menu > Maintain Applications Database Entities Menu).

      3. Run the Translation Synchronization Patch utility (adgennls.pl). .

      4. When you are notified that it is available, apply your Translation Synchronization Patch (TSP) for all languages you requested.

      5. Install the Release 12 NLS Help, if available (optional).

For the step 3 do I still need to run the adgennls.pl?

Can anyone give me a brief idea abt this? and whether they need to be carried out in Vision instance too?

      Thanks in advance
