Guys I have a weblogic 1036 server install with and admin server and two managed servers, I am setting JVM in the start server tab arguments window, they are getting saved, i see them when I checked the config.xml and the setting are there. When I start the managed server via the console or command line the jvm arguments are not being appended to the startup script like they should. Does any one know how the JVM arguments from the config.xml get sent to the NodeManager. I not seen this before or can find any docs on the internal workings of weblogic
If you are starting managed servers from Weblogic Admin console, then definitely the JVM parameters will be reflected in server log file(this means this is appended to the Startup script). Inside the log you will get JVM values which are defined in setDomain.env file first, then JVM parameters defined inside start server tab will be reflected next.
If you are starting the managed servers from command line then JVM arguments will not be appended to the Startup script.
