If you read the initial response to your question you will see the following staement
Yeah we can do that but we need to map it with target Dimension members .
The target in the mapping has to be a member name you cannot use aliases. What the previous poster was trying to say was you can use any identifier as a source member. You can as you state see the alias in the description when choosing the target member but you have to map to the member name
In short i can't map against alias but use them in description.
I am using this format to upload mapping.

The above file didn't work. It puts Account 1 and Account 2 in Target account.

I think you are confused.
are you talking about file with mappings to be imported?
That account description is not the alias, it is the MAPPING DESCRIPTION.
If you want to import mappings from TRA format (text file) you cannot import the mapping description.
You will have to use Excel file for mappings.
