Hi Experts,

Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Viewer sessions fail to start after Oracle Business Intelligence 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.3.0) is installed on RHEL5 (32-bit) systems and display one of the following error messages:

A connection error.

- Attempt 1. CORBA protocol : 0 of 1 processes started. Hint: An administrator can further diagnose connection problems by running the "checkdiscoverer" script under /mnt/data/oracle/Middleware/asinst_1/Discoverer/<DISCOVERER_COMPONENT_NAME>/util.

==============================================

and when I run the checkdiscoverer.sh ; I get following message:

==============================================

Unable to write to log File /mnt/data/oracle/Middleware/asinst_1/Discoverer/Discoverer_asinst_1/util/diag.log
