As far as I can see, your problem might be an incorrect password. The parameter 'encrypted_file.receiver.password' (as the name of the parameter kind of implies) keeps the encrypted password, not the clear-text password. :-)
You have two choices here:
1) You can encrypt the password using the encrypt script in $ORACLE_HOME/oai/9.0.4/bin and then copy and paste the encrypted password to the encrypted_file.receiver.password parameter in the adapter.ini file
2) rename the parameter to file.receiver.password and provide the password in clear-text.
However, I hope you realize that you just granted everyone access to your FTP server by posting the username/password and FTP hostname on a global public mailing list. I'm not sure if that's what you intended to do?
Hope this is helpful.
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried both the choices in your reply, but still it's not receiving the file from the ftp server. It's successfully connecting to the ftp server, though.
Is there any other thing you want me to check?
btw, thanks for your caution note, I will change the password.
could you please send me your adapter.ini and adapter log files (with agent_log_level=2). I'll take a look at it.
