The format is not LONG but AQ$JMS_BYTES_MESSAGE which is a RAW UTF8 encoding
I does not see the problem at this level.
I'm quite sure that if you want to deal with binary object you have to use an AQ adapter (this is the more open one)
The FTP adapter only accept payload of type D3L (CSV for instance ) and XML
You can do it by uuencoding the BLOB. THen send it through interconnect using AQ to AQ and on teh other side unencode the BLOB and write it to a database.
This works for us and I have worked with support to determine this is the only way.
