    Error During OAI Repository Stopping

    271810
I have just install OAI 9.0.4 on HP-UX 11.00. The install went fine. I can start the repository without problems. However, when I try to stop the repository, I get the following error:

      ksh: kill: bad argument count

      Anyone encountered this?

          Hi,

Metalink note 199748.1 might be helpful, it's for the same problem in a Solaris environment:

Symptom: Stopping the OAI Repository component with the stop script fails with the following error:

          ksh: kill: bad argument count

Cause: You are picking up another "stop" executable from somewhere else in the PATH. Maybe invoking the Solaris stop command instead of the Repository stop script. This could be caused by the environment variable path definition.

          Fix:

1.) Change to the Repository's $ORACLE_HOME/oai/4.1/repository/<repositoryname> directory. Invoke the following to make sure that the correct stop command is being invoked:

          ./stop

          2.) Correct the environment

          Hope this is helpful.

          Thanks,
          Markus
