Check your ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini to determine which port number to use.
Ensure that the dbconsole is started before you try to access from a client browser.
emctl start dbconsoleWhich SQL PLUS the internet version? iSQLPLUS
It's default port is 5560. Check your portlist.ini file.
If you are using the Windows Database Client SQL*PLUS you must have have the TNS alias configured in tnsnames.ora. or if you are using configureless connections you must provide the sid:host:port details in your connect command.
If its truly not liking your password...login as sys as sysdba and change it.
When I do that I have the following problem :
OC4J Configuration issue.
D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_[hostname]_[SID] not found.
in [hostname] I have my hostname this directory (hostname = localhost in the path)
but I only have D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_localhost_[SID]
So I also tried to run the service from windows administration tool. But the service won't start.
It's strange because this service was started after oracle installation. I even used em with http://localhost:5500/em. But since I restarted windows, the service won't start anymore.
I can't find anything in the logs (I'm a begginer so I may not know where to look for)
and the error message doesn't help.
Was that the complete error message cause it seems to me that there should have been a couple of more lines ???
If necessary start your listener and the 10g database and with
SQLPLUS connect as:
select tablespace_name, count(*) from user_segments
group by tablespace_name;
Can you connect okay?
What are your Registry entries set to for
ORACLE_BASE, ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID
Check that the IP Address and fully qualified hostname is present in the hosts file.
emctl status dbconsole (does it return any additional errors.)
