I have the same problem. I cannot see the service OracleDBConsole<SID> at all, hence cannot start it manually either?
WHen I try to start the service I get a message in the command window "Configuration issue Ip Address - Database Not found". So where do you change the path to the database so it can be found ?
Check your ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini to determine which port number to use.
Ensure that the dbconsole is started before you try to access from a client browser.
emctl start dbconsoleWhich SQL PLUS the internet version? iSQLPLUS
It's default port is 5560. Check your portlist.ini file.
If you are using the Windows Database Client SQL*PLUS you must have have the TNS alias configured in tnsnames.ora. or if you are using configureless connections you must provide the sid:host:port details in your connect command.
If its truly not liking your password...login as sys as sysdba and change it.
Go to your Oracle_home/bin
emctl start dbconsoleThis process must be started before you can
When I do that I have the following problem :
OC4J Configuration issue.
D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_[hostname]_[SID] not found.
in [hostname] I have my hostname this directory (hostname = localhost in the path)
but I only have D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1/oc4j/j2ee/OC4J_DBConsole_localhost_[SID]
So I also tried to run the service from windows administration tool. But the service won't start.
It's strange because this service was started after oracle installation. I even used em with http://localhost:5500/em. But since I restarted windows, the service won't start anymore.
I can't find anything in the logs (I'm a begginer so I may not know where to look for)
and the error message doesn't help.
sorry, I made a mistake and my sentence is not clear.
in [hostname] I have my host name
but I only have this directory :
(hostname = localhost in the path)
Check dbconsole is running or not
GO to DBHOME/bin issue emctl start dbconsole
I had tested this already.
dbconsole service is not running and won"t start when I ask him to (in administrative tools > services)
What error it throws , Can You try with emctl utility , needless to say if dbconsole is not running then you will not be able to login to dbconsole
Trouble shooting if nothing work then reboot window box and then start required service if automatic not set .
Was that the complete error message cause it seems to me that there should have been a couple of more lines ???
If necessary start your listener and the 10g database and with
SQLPLUS connect as:
select tablespace_name, count(*) from user_segments
group by tablespace_name;
Can you connect okay?
What are your Registry entries set to for
ORACLE_BASE, ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID
Check that the IP Address and fully qualified hostname is present in the hosts file.
emctl status dbconsole (does it return any additional errors.)
