Could anyone point me to documentation on a hands on session tutorial similar to the one available for Windows OS, in the Getting started link.
Am having problems with starting the sensor edge server,
Tried by 2 means,
1. By starting an instance of OC4J from command line,
<File Path> # java -jar oc4j.jar Recieve an error message 'This script is a placeholder for the /usr/bin/java master link required by jpackage.org conventions.libgcj's rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools are now slave symlinks to these masters and are managed by the alternative(8) system.
This wasnecessary because the rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools installed by previous versions of libgcj conflicted with symlinks installed by jpackage.org JVM package.
Exception in thread "Main" java.lang.InternalError:Unexpected error during linking: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.....
2. Starting from command line by,
< filepath>/edge/runSensorEdgeServer.sh Error Message:bash: runSensorEdgeServer.sh :Command not found
This seems like a syntax error in Linux environment. Would appreciate it if anyone could help get me going on the sensor edge server.
Ad 1) It seems that you have no JDK or JRE installed on your system. Try to correct this.
Ad 2) If you don't have bash on your system (should be in /bin/bash) edit the first line of the runSensorEdgeServer.sh script and substitute this with a shell you have. More probably your PATH environment does not point to the /bin directory.
