    WebUtil Demo Runtime "Bean not found" Error

    wyfwong
      I Download WebUtil Demo from http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/Webutil_demo.zip

      I have tried to run the forms using Forms 10g Release 1 and 2, there is no compilation error, but at run time, the following error alert appears:

      oracle.forms.webutil.clientinfo.GetClientInfo bean not found.
      WEBUTIL_CLIENTINFO.GET_SYSTEM_PROPERTY will not work

      HELP!

      null

          We will need more info. What is in your java console? What config are you using in your formsweb.cfg file? Likely causes are its not loading the required jar files.

            Hi,

            Check your webutil cofigurations. The main files are:

            Webutil.env - This is where you will define the classpath for the required .jar files
            Webutil.cfg - This is where you will define all your transfer, dll files and other translation settings.
            You should first attach the Pll first and do a subclass of the webutil.
            In formsweb.cfg file in
            this parameter must be set
            webUtilArchive=webutil.jar, jacob.jar
            jacob.jar supports all your file transfer functions.
            Please do sign all these jar files before use with a jar signer.

            After you initiate your application, just check whether webutil.jar and jacob.jar are loaded into your jar cache.

            Hope that this will solve your problem,

            Regards,
            Sridhar. R. S.

              I cannot find Webutil.env.
              Do you mean default.env instead of webutil.env?
              default.env - This is where you will define the classpath for the required .jar files
              Webutil.cfg - This is where you will define all your transfer, dll files and other translation settings.

              I installed Oracle Home for Forms 10g R2 in C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2
              For Forms10g R2, CLASSPATH is already set in default.env
              CLASSPATH=C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\j2ee\OC4J_BI_Forms\applications\formsapp\formsweb\WEB-INF\lib\frmsrv.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\repository.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\ldapjclnt10.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\debugger.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\ewt3.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\share.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\utj.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\jlib\zrclient.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\reports\jlib\rwrun.jar;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDSR2\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar

                    Hi Mr. Wyfwong,

                    I have exactly problem with you. I'm using WebUtil 106. Does your problem solved? I hope can learn any of your opinion and your sugestion.

                    Thanks and regards,

                      I am also checking the demo, I am using Oracle 9iDS, I configure every thing as mentioned in the PDF document, but when compiling the webutil.pll, I am getting the compilation error 306, wrong number or types of argument in call to ADD_OBJECT_ARG(args, a0, 'java/lang/Object').
                      The problems are in the body of Package Jave_System when some methods of JNI are called.
                      What JNI and how i can fix this problem?

                        I finnally got it working for both Forms 10g Release 1 and 2. The steps are:
                        Webutil Setup
                        Preparation for Oracle10g Release 1:

                        If you are using Forms 10g Release 1, WebUtil are not installed and you need to download WebUtil file from Oracle, or unzip the file webutil_106.zip to the following path:
                        C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90

                        1. Download and unzip webutil_106.zip to C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90
                        Download and Unzip jacob_18.zip to C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\java

                        2. Add the following in default.env
                        WEBUTIL_CONFIG= C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\server\webutil.cfg
                        Append to existing CLASSPATH
                        CLASSPATH=C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar;

                        3. Append the configuration of C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\server\formsweb.cfg
                        archive_jini=f90all_jinit.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
                        WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar

                        4. sign_webutil.bat C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\webutil\jacob.jar
                        sign_webutil.bat C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\java\frmwebutil.jar

                        5. In MyComputer, double-click on C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\webutil.olb
                        You will notice that WEBUTIL is added under Object Libraries
                        Double-click on WEBUTIL in yellow
                        Click on Minimize icon
                        Drag WEBUTIL from WebUtil Objects to the Yellow “Object Groups”
                        Click on [Copy]

                        6. In Object Navigator, Double-click on Attached Libraries,
                        Select webutil.pll from C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\Webutil
                        Run webutil.olg from C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\Webutil
                        Copy to Object Group
                        Click on Program, Compile PL/SQL, All
                        Click on Program, Compile Module

                        7. Amend the C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90\server\default.env
                        FORMS90_PATH=C:\Webutil_demo;C:\oracle\product\Ora10gDS\forms90
                        Start OC4J
                        Run the form, it works!
                        -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                        Preparation for Oracle Forms 10g Release 2:
                        Assume that the Oracle Home for Oracle Forms 10g R2 is C:\DevSuiteHome_1\
                        1. Webutil is already installed in Release 2
                        Just download and Unzip jacob_18.zip to C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java

                        2. WEBUTIL_CONFIG and CLASSPATH are already set in default.env

                        3. Append the configuration of C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\server\formsweb.cfg
                        archive_jini=f90all_jinit.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar
                        WebUtilArchive=frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar

                        4. sign_webutil.bat C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\frmwebutil.jar
                        sign_webutil.bat C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\java\jacob.jar

                        5. Amend the C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms\server\default.env
                        FORMS_PATH=C:\Webutil_demo;C:\DevSuiteHome_1\forms;
                        Start OC4J
                        Run the form, it works!

                          Thanks for your instruction. Finally, I solved this prblem. But it's only work on Oracle DB 10g R2 and DevSuite 10g R2 and still not work in Oracle 10g R1(9.04) and DevSuite 10g R2.

                          One again thanks for your help!

                                I'm getting the same bad java console output that was posted here (by wyfwong).

                                And after trying what was finally posted as solution, I still have the same problem.

                                  Got it working. The problem I found was that for some reason, in the formsweb.cfg file, the [webutil] section parameters are not all recognized. So if the parameter is in the [default] section of the file and then it is subsequently redefined within the [webutil] section, the duplicate parameters in the [webutil] section are igrnored. Therefore, I had to update archive_jini to archive_jini=frmall_jini.jar,frmwebutil.jar,jacob.jar and things came up working for me.
