Problem creating index

Hi there,

Im having a problem creating an index on the following XML. I've registered my schema with the DB and inserted XML documents which all works fine. I can query the DB using views based upon XPath queries - again all fine. And I can create some indexes. So here is my XML:

encoded protein is a nuclear phosphoprotein that binds and inhibits transactivation by tumor
protein p53, as part of an autoregulatory negative feedback loop. Overexpression of this
gene can result in excessive inactivation of tumor protein p53, diminishing its tumor
suppressor function. This protein has E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, which targets tumor
protein p53 for proteasomal degradation. This protein also affects the cell cycle,
apoptosis, and tumorigenesis through interactions with other proteins, including
retinoblastoma 1 and ribosomal protein L5. More than 40 different alternatively spliced
transcript variants have been isolated from both tumor and normal tissues.</entry_comment>

The indexes that DID work:

CREATE INDEX data_record_gene_idx
ON 'data_record' x(extractValue(value(x),'/data_record/geneid')

CREATE INDEX data_record_accno_idx
ON 'data_record' x(extractValue(value(x),'/data_record/product/peptide/accession')

The index I wish to create is on the '/data_record/pmid/identifier' - obviously I can't use the above approach as extractValue(value(x), '/data_record/pmid/identifier') returns more than one row.

Any help would be appreciated
