I am having tremendous issue recently with Financial Reporting Studio reports.
The issue arrived a few days ago but before that it was working flawlessly.
I cannot open any Financial Reports through Hyperion Workspace in HTML or PDF. I have tried to open the report in both IE 7 and Mozilla and all it does is spin for a few second and the screen goes blank. It will not load any reports. In additiona, there are no inidication of any progress status, the ticking status clock goes away and it just display a blank web screen with a yellow hazard sign on the bottom left of the web page loading status bar.
I have also tried to open different reports through Smartview -> Reports Framework without any sucess.
Same issue when trying to open the report in Financial Reporting Studio.
I have talked to my DBA team and no configuration was done whatsoever for the last 3 years when it was first installed.
I am on 188.8.131.52 of Smartview and 184.108.40.206.0.83 of Workspace and 220.127.116.117of Financial Reporting Studio.

Message was edited by: 959938 Update to all my fellow OTN friends. The issue aboved was resolved doing the following below: Issue with Native Directory priority settings. I just did change order 1 as Native directory under configure user directories and bounced foundation services along with FRStudio. navigation - Workspace - administration - configure user directories - change order(Native as 1)
You could check increasing the java heap setting for FR. For the FR studio ,try replacing the HReports.jar file by copying it from the FR Server machine and replacing it in the client machine if FR Studio is on a separate machine.
You could also check the FRClientLogging.log file for the FR Studio to check if any errors are thrown.
Probably you could raise an ticket with Oracle to get help in troubleshooting.
Few things I would like to know:
-- What happens if you try to create a new report in FR studio? Are you able to do it successfully and does it run fine?
-- Is it a machine specific issue or you are able to create the issue on all the machine?
-- Certainly you need to check the FRClientLogging.log file to get some clue about the issue. Also check the FRLogging.log file from Oracle/Middleware/user_projects/domains/EPMSystem/Servers/FinancialReporting0/logs
if you get any specific error message after running the report in workspace.
-- You can re import the report in workspace if you have a backup and test if it works fine.
Hi User 108888262, the issue have been resolved. Please see my original post, it was updated today, Feb, 06, 2014 with solution.
The original issue would not generate in Workspace, Smartview of Financial Reporting Studio. In Financial Reporting Studio, the report would open in edit mode, but it would not generate a HTML preview. It would error out.
Issue was not isolated to just my machine. 2 other Admins were having the very same problem. End users as well. They were not able to generate any reports from Smartview or Workspace
