I have an unusual problem.
Under Project Security Profiles > Project date.
Add/Edit/Delete Project Baselines is ticked on
Assign Project Baselines is ticked off
This should allow the user to add/restore / delete baselines and attach them as Primary, secondary and tertiary - Not project this is for the PMO to assign.
This looks correct the assign > project baseline are is grey'd out when the user goes to the attach baseline screen and the primary, secondary and tertiary are open for them to attach any baselines that have been added.
So it looks to me like P6 has got the the primary and project baselines mixed up somehow. Is this a bug?
Any comments / suggestions would be welcomed.
Hello, what version of P6 are you using? Sounds like it could be 7.0, but want to confirm. Users should only be able to assign primary, secondary, etc baselines. They should not be able to maintain baselines and this section should be greyed out for them. You might want to check their project security profile and make sure that maintain baselines is not ticked on.
Hi thanks for the reply.
We are running ver 8.3.1.
The maintain baseline option is completely greyed out.
It's pretty weird, I have tested it with different users and profile configurations.
If the user try's to restore a primary, secondary or tertiary that is assigned, p6 won't let them and gives them a message saying
If they try and restore the project bl it messages are you sure you want to unlink and restores it.
This is a pretty serious security issue.
