          Hi,

try again, but prompt DGMGRL -logfile your_location/file_name.log

          and post the logfile

          Regards

            Hi,

Check whether you are having same password file in both primary and standby.

Did you use orapwd to generate password file or copied the password file from primary to standby.

Check the log file, for any error related to password

What is the version of your database?

If 11g , then dont use ORAPWD to generate password on standby side.

                      Hi,

I recommend you to configure your dataguard-standby manually not using the Broker to resolve your problem easly and after the problem is resolved, you can use the Broker if you want

                      Regards

It has already been suggested that you should not create a password file but copy the password file. This has been known to fix ora-1031 problems. Just because your files have the same password does not mean that they are the same:

                                    c:\users\john>

                                    c:\users\john>orapwd file=pwf1 password=oracle

                                    c:\users\john>orapwd file=pwf2 password=oracle
