In SQL Developer 4.0, the date handling in unit tests seems broken. When entering dates as IN or OUT parameters to the unit tests, the fields accept dates with time information, but when saved to the database (to ut_test_impl_arguments as XML), the date is truncated to midnight, 00:00:00. This can hardly be expected behavior?
When I manipulate the date directly in ut_test_impl_arguments.input_value or output_value the tests work as expected, taking time into consideration.
Is this a known bug and in that case, will there be a fix soon?
Further, when you run the tests, the date values get reported without the time, even if they do include time (added manually as stated above). Rather than "Expected: [18-FEB-14], Received: [18-FEB-14]" I would expect to see "Expected: [18-FEB-14 14:00:00], Received: [18-FEB-14 14:00:00]" or even better, in ISO 8601 format.
