If you are using out of place upgrade you might need to shutdown the standby, delete the windows service with the "old 184.108.40.206" oradim and recreate it with the "new 220.127.116.11" oradim. See Oracle documentation "Oracle® Database Upgrade Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2)" Page 3-49
Hi DBA gurus,
I have windows as Operating System and have Oracle 11g Release 2. i want to upgrade it to 18.104.22.168 . Everything has been done smoothly but my stand by database is not upgraded though all the logs are shipped and applied that were generated while running DBUA on primary .
On standby database sqlplus is being initiated by new ORACLE_HOME but the database is on 22.214.171.124 .
Any idea what i did wrong.
Thanks in advance.
Have you checked from primary database components status using DBA_REGISTRY?
Also can you check the applied patchset information from "registry$history" and if you have database opened/read only mode you can check from dba_registry whether all the components are upgraded or not.
Also ensure you have exported the new home and worth to check "C:\> echo %PATH%"
