OOTB is there a way within WCC to have a report or search all content a particular user edited over past 7 days?
I have OTS - Metadata Only search configured for our WCC instances here.
My problem is mainly with files that were version-ed by the user but was further version-ed again by other users (in effect latest version is not authored by the user).
Hi Prateek ,
You can use GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&QueryText=dDocLastModifiedDate >= `11/02/2014 00:00` <AND> dDocLastModifier <contains> `weblogic` (just used this date as an example) and run the query . This will list all the items that have been modified from the time mentioned as parameter .
Hope this helps .
To tweak Srinath's response just a bit...
GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&QueryText=dDocLastModifiedDate >= `<$dateCurrent(-7)$>` <AND> dDocLastModifier <contains> `weblogic`
To just use the current user as the modifier
GET_SEARCH_RESULTS&QueryText=dDocLastModifiedDate >= `<$dateCurrent(-7)$>` <AND> dDocLastModifier <contains> `<$dUser$>`
That doesn't seem to work for me! I even tried with: dDocLastModifier <contains> `myuser`
It doesn't return me Content Items that whose "immediate previous" revision or any of the last revisions were edited by the user!
And if it worked, does "dDocLastModifier" helps search of author of last revision OR all previous revisions?
I tested the queries above that Srinath provided and I tweaked. They work for me, meaning they return content as expected. (220.127.116.11 with OTS).
For the second part of your question, only the latest revision of an item is available for searching. This does not find non-latest items. You'd need another search mechanism (like a direct db query) to get to ALL revisions.
Not working for me at all. I also couldn't locate this dDocLastModifier in Revisions, Documents or Docmeta table!
Could you both please confirm that dDocLastModifier always keeps the author of the revision with revision rank = 2?
I.e. it keeps the author of the last-to-last version of the content?
GET_SEARCH_RESULT always return LatestReleased revisions. Looks like you are trying to get 3rd latest revision (rank=2) of a content assuming you are not using workflow. rank=0 is always Latest/LatestReleased revision. Search collection always stores only LatestReleased revision of a content. You will have to write your own custom query/SQL to get the required information.
GET_SEARCH_RESULTS will not help you in this case if you are referring dRevRank column of Revisions table as rank otherwise my post is not valid for your case..
Write a custom query and use. custom service to get the desired results.
