    Issue with FDMEE integration to HFM

    968598

      Dears,

      we are running here FDMEE V.11.1.2.3 and we are trying to use it in order to send some data to HFM V.11.1.2.3

      We are confronted with the following situation:

      1st Approach:

      - We flag the "Check Valid Interceptions" property from the FDMEE Application Settings;

      - Import operation is successfull but interceptions are not validated; however, the "interceptions check log" appears to be empty (0kb) and we cannot open it (is it corrupted??)

      2nd Approach:

      - We unflag the "Check Valid Interseptions" property from the FDMEE Application Settings;

      - Import operation is successfull, validation  is successfull... but export operation is not accomplished (the little fish remains in grey colour).

      We are 100% sure to have selected one single valid interception with a valid data amount.

      Can you please advise urgently? We are getting crazy as we are used only to FDM...

      Hereunder we attach the log file when we try the 2nd approach:

          Hi,

          we are facing similar kind of error. FDMEE version is 11.1.2.3.200. Findings are the same as in your 1st Approach case.

          The 2nd approach end in our case a bit earlier than yours (fails to initialize the adapter).

          Adapter created.

          Check the error messages on FDM server: you may find something useful messages from there.

          Getting grazy - yes. Technical people are investigating it and we have logged a support case on our issue but nothing concrete yet.

          Any suggestions from the Gurus?

            Hi,

            we created a new FDMEE Application and the problem is been resolved, but we don't know where was the problem.

            Thank you.

              Hi, any answers to the error?

              We are getting the same error at Export step while on 11.1.2.3.200

                Adapter created.

                Adapter Initialized successfully.

                As per process log shows FDMEE could not connect to application GRSCONS5.

                Is your FDMEE user provisioned to that application? can you log via workspace to the HFM application?

                    Also check that your application root folder is correctly configured in either System/Applicaiton settings under Configure.

                      If FDMEE cannot connect to HFM application, check intersections will fail as this process connect to HFM in order to check your data member intersections.

                        Thank you for your reply.  I am not getting "Failed to initialize" message (I think the person who posted the original post was getting that message).  In my case it is identical after that.  I am using admin user with all roles granted.  App folder is successfully configured.. Not sure how to check intersections you are reffering to above..

                          "Check Intersections" is set to "No" by the way in FDMEE target application options

                            What do you mean by creating a new FDMEE application?

                            THanks

                            • 11. Re: Issue with FDMEE integration to HFM
                              Francisco Amores

                              If there is an issue for FDMEE connecting to HFM, it does not matter if "Check Intersections" is enabled or not.

                              The only difference is the step where the error is raised:

                              - Enabled: connection error will be raised during Validate

                              - Disabled: connection error will be raised during Export

                              Which version of FDMEE do you have?

                              If you try to create a mapping, can you search the target value of any dimension?

                              can you review ERPIntegator0.log?

                              I suggest modifying HFM_EXPORT.vbs for debugging. For example you can add the following line to see output of fconnect function. It might give more details.

                              '************************************************************************************

                              'CONNECT TO HFM

                              '************************************************************************************

                              If objHW.fConnect() Then

                                WScript.Echo "Connected to " & objHW.PstrAppName

                              Else

                                objHW.UpdateProcessDetailRecord CStr(LoadID), objHW.Failed_Process, objHW.Export_Process

                                WScript.Echo objHW.fConnect()

                                WScript.Echo "Failed to connect to " & objHW.PstrAppName

                                WScript.Quit -5

                              End If

                              '************************************************************************************

                                    If you try to create a mapping, can you search the target value of any dimension?

                                    Can you check in HFM that HFMAPP is correctly registered in HFMCLUSTER?
