    SYSIN and SYSTSIN translation in JCL files

    indalo

      Hello.

      We have two JCL to translate with Tuxedo ART Workbech (version 12).

      The JCL files has lines like thoose:

      //SYSINDD *

      DSN SYSTEM(DB2P)

      RUN PROGRAM(LRPIBSA0) PLAN(LRPIBSA0) -

      LIB('DB2P.ARAMIS.LOADLIB')

      END

      ----------

      DSN SYSTEM(DB2) RETRY(0) TEST(0)

      RUN PROGRAM(LRPPPI03) PLAN(LRPPPI03) -

        LIB('DB2T.ARAMIS.BTCHLOAD')

      END

      --------------

      //PARMIN   DD *

      R

      //PARM

      DD DISP=SHR,DSN=TESTE.ARAMIS.RP.SEQ.P13

      ---------------

      The resultant KSH have error in thoose lines. ¿How ca we configure system.desc or config-trad-JCL.desc to translate them properly?

      Thanks in advance

          Hi,

          What rolling patch level are you using?

          The latest available is RP014. Fixes related to your question were available with RP006(rolling patch includes all previous fixes).

          Regards,
          Bob Finan

            Hi, Bob.

            We have the RP014, and on our patchlev we can see the fix:

            ...

            006   16834384: SUPPORT EXTERNAL SYSTSIN AND SYSTSIN OVERRD

            ...

            Do you known what's can be wrong about it?

            Thanks.

              Hi,

              I do not know what could be wrong with your JCL. I noticed that there were some fixes added after the GA release concerning this:

              002   13711425: CAN'T CONVERT EXTERNAL SYSIN

              002   15869639: INCORRECT KSH GENERATED WHEN USING SYSIN IN PROC

              002   15919377: JCL CONVERSION: IKJEFT01 RUNNING DSNTIAUL AND ITS SYSIN CONVERSION ERROR

              003   16395341: DATASET NAME CONTAINING "BACKUP" IN SYSIN OF IDCAMS ISN'T CONVERTED CORRECTLY

              003   16395313: ERROR IN CONVERTING SYSIN CONCATENATION FOR IDCAMS

              003   16482629: SYSTSIN IS NOT TRANSLATED CORRECTLY FOR IKJEFT LANUNCHING NON SYSTEM PROGRAMS

              003   16505306: SUBSEQUENT EXTERNAL SYSIN FILES IN SYSIN CONCATENATION SERIES ARE CONVERTED INCO

              004   16671620: SUPPORT DYNAMIC SYSIN

              004   16671597: SUPPORT FULL NAME SEARCHING FOR SYSIN

              006   16834384: SUPPORT EXTERNAL SYSTSIN AND SYSTSIN OVERRD

              If you have applied RP014 then these changes were included.

              You will probably need to open an SR and provide the KSH you are getting in order to determine why.

              Regards,

              Bob

                Thanks for your response.

                I will open a SR, as you said.
