      Installed the 64bit (JDK included) SQLDeveloper today and having a bit of an issue.  My previous 4.0 build was working fine.

      I exported the connections and imported the xml file into the new 4.0.1 build when the problem arose.


      It seems I'm not having any problem connecting to an external database, in other words, a database that does not live on my workstation.

      However, when trying to connect to a local database, the 4.0.1 build locks up and has to be killed from the Task Manager (Windows 7 64 bit).


      Whether I connect via right clicking on the target or via the properties dialog box (which by the way, clicking on "Test" works) the build just

      locks up.
