    CBS file issue

    bobnash251

      Hi,

I am doing outline build using a cbs file.

I am getting error at the below part in the cbs script.

      SETSOURCE "DSN=ABC;CODEPAGE=English_UnitedStates.Latin1@Binary;UID=DEF;PWD=PQRS;"

      The error being :

ODBC Error [DataDirect][ODBC Oracle Wire Protocol driver][Oracle]ORA-01017- invalid username/password; logon denied

However, I tried to connect from toad with the same SID 'ABC', username 'DEF' and password 'PQRS'. I am able to login to the oracle database ABC .

The odbc.ini file has the same entry ABC. Could some one please suggest ?

      Regards,

      Bob

          Bob,

Check the odbc.ini file, i think the drivers are not select correctly...edit the pre-define connects according to your DB and check if from that connection you are able to open catalog in EIS?

          Cheers!

            Bob,

Did you create the .cbs script manually or did you use the EIS console OLAPCMD wizard to create it?   If you use the EIS console OLAPICMD wizard to create it, you won't have to worry about syntax errors.    The wizard also uses the username and password and DSN settings, from you have chosen/entered in the EIS console.

            Good luck.

            Derek
