recently we activated Oracle Net encryption for our Oracle 126.96.36.199 databases (running on Solaris 10). Everything seems to work fine. Except one thing: a java application using jdbc thing client can connect to the db without any problem but after approx 15 min it cannot send any queries to the server. I activated sql trace for that session and it just shows "SQL*Net message to client" and then the sessions goes into "SQL*Net message from client" again. So we deactivated the encryption and the "timeout" disappeared. I searched MOS for any info on timeouts when using net encryption but didnt find anything. Does anybody know if this is a known issue?
Thanks in advance
