Can you describe your problem briefly please....
When I run:
/packages/oracle-10.2.0.2/bin/proc ireclen=2400 oreclen=132 select_error=no sqlcheck=full userid=/@$DBNAME include=/packages/oracle-10.2.0.2/precomp/public include=/packages/oracle-10.2.0.2/rdbms/public include=/packages/oracle-10.2.0.2/rdbms/public code=cpp iname=input-file.pc oname=output-file.cpp
proc stops with:
- Bus Error - core dumped (when iname parameter is 116 characters long and oname is 139 characters long)
- Segmentation Fault - core dumped (iname is 118 characters long, oname is 141 characters long)
Same errors occur when iname is long (~130) and oname shorter (<120)
In cases like that, the workaround is to run proc in directory of longer file and use relative name (file name only without the long path)
However, when both input and output paths are long there is no way to overcome this. I really do not want to do an in-source build
Could you use softlinks?
This sounds like a problem with Pro*C rather than a problem with the Studio compilers. So you might reach more people using the DB forum:
