    Routing Issue

    1978869

      Dear All,

I have the following issue. I have a machine with 2 network cards :

      eth0

      eth1

I have  a need to add an alternative static route to eth1 and wanted to have it added permanantly so created :

      /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/route-eth1

      10.109.128.0/24 via 10.111.2.1

If you then restart networking, the route is added, however, 10.111.2.1 replaces the actual default gateway set by :

      eth0

Is there a  way to start the interfaces in reverse order at boot time or add the static route without messing things up ?

      Cheers
