    BI Publisher Issue

    a6f57629-5741-4173-b77a-5eae656b2e26

      Hi all,

      I am trying to create a report via BIP, there are around 10,000+ register numbers and seats numbers in the report.

      I have to generate the report in the following format: the register number and seat number goes from 1-74; then 75 to 149, and so on and so on.. However, the default format in BIP is based on how many attributes you need in the report, for example, we need register number and seat number, then the report would be one column for each, and the data goes upside down directly.

      Here is the example of the report, I have to generate the following reprot via BIP

      Register No.SeatsRegister No.SeatsRegister No.Seats
      117575150150
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx
      xxxxxx

      Could anyone help on how to create the report template as the user required?

      Thank you in advance.

      Regards

          Hi,

          Try the following,

          In order to achieved the expected output you need to apply MS Word Feature, Go to Page Layout --> Choose Columns (Split Text into two or more column)

          Let's say you defined 6 columns than output having 6 column on each page and keep continue as data continue.

          For example:

          RTF file is look like this, at right top corner of the page.

          Register NoSeats
          F REGISTER_NO
          E SEATS

          Here at above;

          Tags LableTags
          F<?for-each:ROWSET/ROW?>
          REGISTER_NO<?REGISTER_NO?>
          SEATS<?SEATS?>
          E<?end for-each?>

          XML like this

          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

          <DOCUMENT>

          <ROWSET>

             <ROW>

                <REGISTER_NO>1</REGISTER_NO>

                <SEATS>1</SEATS>

             </ROW>

             <ROW>

                <REGISTER_NO>2</REGISTER_NO>

                <SEATS>2</SEATS>

             </ROW>

             . . . . . . .

          <ROWSET>

          <DOCUMENT>
