Installing Oracle DB 11g R2 EE X64

2662603Apr 28 2014 — edited Jun 11 2014

When I install Oracle Database 10g Express Edition (not sure whether it's 32 or 64 bit) in my PC there some registry entries (i.e., ODBC, ODBC Drivers) are created in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node].

But when I install Oracle DB 11g R2 EE X64 the above mentioned registries are create in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE].

I need those entries in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node]. Actually when I run C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe to add system DSN, I found no driver related to oracle. But if I run C:\Windows\odbc32.exe I found the driver but it's of 32 bit. The remote server I want to connect runs a database which is of 64 bit. I'm using Windows7 Professional 64 bit OS. I have lost 3 days already to fix this problem. Please help. Thanks in advance.
