Add Connection fails after configuring for access to SQL Server

I am running SQL Developer 1.5.5, which installed with Oracle Database Client 11.2.0.4. I downloaded jdts-1.3.1.jar and added its location in Tools > Preferences > Database > Third Party JDBC Driver (Add Entry) to configure capability to access SQL Server. Now I can no longer get a dialog box to open when I try to Add Connections. Does anyone have any insights, please?

Yes.

1.5.5 is really old.

The 1.3 jar will only work with version 4.0 of SQL Developer.

You can get the 1.2 jar - i think that will work with 1.5, or you can get a newer version of SQLDev off of OTN and use the 1.3 JAR. I very much so recommend the latter.
