There must be a way to do this "properly" using VMWare, of course. But I found I was able to make the VMWare Oracle RAC virtual machine - running under VMWare Player - accessible to the entire network by this port forwarding application:
- the setup was pretty obvious and I can now access my VM from anywhere on the corporate LAN, and I didn't need to change a single thing within the virtual machine itself...
Hope that helps someone...
I have exactly the same problem. I cannot enable port forward following the documentation, but I cannot make AUTAPF work either.
This is the setup that I use:
Local port: 1158 (I am trying to connect to em from another computer in the network)
Local interface IP address: blank
Remote port: 1158
Remote host address: 192.168.203.11
But then I get an "Error starting" message
What have I done wrong? Has anyone figured out how to enable port forwarding following the documentation? Has anyone else had these problem?
Thanks a lot
