How to specify the startup of a particular instance on a particular node in RAC one-node ?

    Vivek12-Oracle

We are currently implementing Exadata with RAC one-node.

I am trying to startup a particular instance on one node of the cluster and I cannot do this.

So when I issue a srvctl start command I can specify the node but not the instance when using RAC one-node.

i.e. srvctl start database -d testdb -n nodea

Sometimes instance one starts up on the node, sometimes instance 2 starts up on the node. I cannot specify which one starts up.

Please can you tell me how to do this.

      So working on database atpcodto:

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ ps -ef | grep pmon

      ...

      oracle    66028      1  0 May01 ?        00:01:27 ora_pmon_atpcodtp_1

      oracle   125090  65122  0 09:54 pts/0    00:00:00 grep pmon

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ srvctl status database -d atpcodtp

Instance atpcodtp_1 is running on node dx-exa01-dbo1-adm

      Online relocation: INACTIVE

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ srvctl stop database -d atpcodtp

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ srvctl start database -d atpcodtp

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ srvctl status database -d atpcodtp

Instance atpcodtp_1 is running on node dx-exa01-dbo2-adm

      Online relocation: INACTIVE

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo1-adm ~]$ ps -ef | grep pmon

      ...

      oracle   126485  65122  0 09:56 pts/0    00:00:00 grep pmon

-- So instance 1 started up on the other node

      [oracle@dx-exa01-dbo2-adm ~]$ ps -ef | grep pmon

      ...

      oracle    27130      1  0 09:55 ?        00:00:00 ora_pmon_atpcodtp_1

So how do I start up (for example) instance 2 on node 2? What commands should I use?
