    Timestamp issue of JRE 7u55

I used JRE v1.7.0_55-b14 (version number:7u55) to sign one 3-year-certificate(2014/04/09~2017/04/09) with time stamp, 2014/04/09 and modified my PC's time from original correct time to 2017/04/17 for verification. Theoretically, it should be able to work well because of time stamp setting, but some certificate issue happened. While when I upgraded the JRE from v1.7.0_55-b14 to v1.8.0_b132 and did the same verification, this issue won't happen. I would like to know what's the reason of expired certificate issue is and what the differences between v1.7.0_55-b14 and v1.8.0_b132 on time stamping machanism? thanks.
