    how to determine ogg version from cmd line

    2681440

      I'm writing a perl script to check machine inventory and so far I can find most installed software on the machine but
      I'm having trouble finding if ogg is installed and it's version. So far I'm capturing the output from two commands:

      my $rpmResult = qx( rpm -qa --queryformat '%{SIZE} %{NAME} %{VERSION}\n' );

      my $opatchResult = qx( opatch lsinventory -detail );

      How can I capture the ogg information?

      thanks,

      Paul.

            From the command-line, "-v" option.

            All of ggsci, mgr, extract, etc should report the same version in a single installation. Example:

            $ ./ggsci -v
            Oracle GoldenGate Command Interpreter for Oracle

            $ ./extract -v

            The type of GG installation is also included, e.g., "Oracle 11g" means this GG is for Oracle database v11g (11gR1 or 11gR2), and not any of MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle 12c, etc.
