Purge the cache directories through configuration manager and try to open the app package.
This usually happens when the workstation is running high on memory. Please try to close some unwanted apps and then try. If that doesn't work, please try re-installing.
I have seen problem when windows terminal servers are configured to use a common cache instead of user specific one. if you look at the windows application event logs, you will get an idea for the termination of application. if the issue is specific to an application package, I suspect some tools integrity is compromised in that package. Generate a clear sql trace and see where it fails to get an idea if the later case is true.
