If I make plain table without grouping, it shows sums. Seems something is wrong with grouping.
I went through Table Wizard creating three levels, Group by... Then by... Then by... The table is drawn, I save rtf and start preview and it crashes. Error report is too long to paste here; it ends up with:
Caused by: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Error in expression: './/current-group()'.
oracle.xdo11g.xpath.XPathException: Error in expression: './/current-group()'.
I didn't touch anything, just went through the Wizard trying to eliminate the factor of my own incompetence, but still no luck.
Dissapointed with my attempts to create layout in MS Word, I tried to do it directly in BI Publisher.
After a while I was able to create a decent looking report. Everything works, groups, summaries etc. (though I generally expected a somewhat better tool considering it is part of a software with $40k price tag)
For calling report from Apex I used a 7 years old post from D. Gielis (http://dgielis.blogspot.com/2007/12/call-bi-publisher-report-from-apex.html) and it works fine, passing parameters etc. However, it opens a blank page over Apex application, and then opens Acrobat Reader. After closing Acrobat window, the blank page remains on screen, covering Apex. It looks like a minor nuisance: just click on browser's Go Back button and you are back on your Apex page. However, it turned out that users regularly close the blank page, effectively closing the application alltogether, and they do it unconsciouslly even after being instructed to press Back button.
Has anyone managed to open PDF reader directly, without this blank server page?
