    IRM 8.1.1.5 to 8.1.1.11 on non-unicode databases

    1013299

      Hello all,

Is it possible to run successfully the IRM 8.1.1.11 on non-unicode databases ?

I read somewhere that Oracle only delivers the required ancestor repositories and seed data in unicode format.

Is it true ? How to proceed ?

      Thanks and Regards

      Mauricio

          Mauricio,

For V8.1.1.11 IRM process, you should be able to use non-unicode fine

according to doc, you can specify the database encoding and it does not specifically say Unicode

"Database Encoding Indicate whether your database uses a Unicode code page."

Let us know where you obtained the information about ancestor repositories required to be imported in unicode format.

Let us know if you are encountering any issues with non-unicode IRM.

          Thanks,

          Madhavi.
