The minimum Solaris version on the target system should be Solaris 10 9/10.
NOTE: If the source system that used to build the image is an older version then the target
system, then during the process, the operating system will be upgraded to Solaris 10 9/10
(update on attach).
We don't have required support to upgrade the target system now. Also, we do not have any other Solaris10 system with version 9/10 or above. So, the only option we are left with is to install this Solaris10 image on another server we have that is Solaris 11, as a branded zone. Correct?
Oracle Solaris 10 Zones
Oracle Solaris 10 Zones are solaris10 branded zones that host x86 and SPARC Solaris 10 9/10 (or later released Oracle Solaris 10 update) user environments running on the Oracle Solaris 11 kernel. Note that it is possible to use an earlier Oracle Solaris 10 release if you first install the kernel patch 142909-17 (SPARC) or 142910-17 (x86/x64), or later version, on the original system.
Thanks. That implies I have to apply the patch on the host system and recreate the flash image before installing the branded zone on Solaris11.

Thank you so much.
