QUESTION: If implementing golden gate replication in an engineered appliance environment Exalogic and Exadata is it supported and ok to house the trail files on a file system mounted from the ZFS Exalogic appliance to the Exadata compute nodes as required for Golden Gate?
The MAA guide recently published shows DBFS being implemented however this is only utilizing the Exadata appliance alone.
The question relates to environments where a customer has purchased both Exadata and Exalogic.
Any points of view on this are appreciated.
The trail files can be placed in any location (shared/not shared) as long as the OGG process has access (read/write) to them.
