How to create a sub-region based on an Item value

    Jen Hu

      Hello,

How to create a sub-region based on Item value. This is want i want to do: if the item value is 'yes', i want to show the sub-region to create one or mutiple records related to that table row.

If 'no', just hide the sub-region. My APEX is 4.0.2, oracle is 11g. I also want to know if there is other options without creating sub-region.

      Thanks for your help.

You want to show or hide the sub region on run time.

Use a dynamic action that is fired when the page item is changed.

Use the when condition to determine when the show or hide action should run.

And for the show and hide action choose the sub region as the affected element.

The hide action should fire on page load. The show action should not fire on page load.
