It is not possible to create Siebel log file in a database table. The only way is to get the log files under SiebSrvr\Log directory and archive them whenever needed.
thanks for the swift answer. The reason I'm asking this is that we are preparing for poc and customer expecting the logs are saved in the database.
Also in the requirement, they mention about integration to SIEM tools. Do you know how to accomplish such things?
Do you mean instead of logs getting saved in siebsrvr/logs directory you would like to save in database directory (eg: Oracle/184.108.40.206/Siebel/logs)?
This is mandatory to have logs saved in siebsrvr/logs.
Application server logs are stored as physical files in the directory which will be mentioned in "LogDir" parameter. The reason to not store the logs in database is that, the data which gets stored in the log will be high and could not be stored in relational database.
As storing the log files in a database won't be feasible, there is a table "S_SRM_TASK_HIST" which stores all task log details with other parameters like server name, component name etc and after doing query on this table, you can find the exact log file name and its server name. After getting the server and log file name, you can directly check the logs in that specified server log directory.
