I have Installed WebLogic (WL) v 10.3.6.0 & Fusion Middleware (FM) v 126.96.36.199 on a Windows7-64bit workstation (also on Windows 2008 Server - 64bit)
When starting WL, OPMN and Node Manager do we need to use a 32 bit or 64 bit command window?
The command line string, generated by the installation process, uses a ORACLE 'console window" (consolew.exe),
(C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\consolew.exe /k "C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin\startNodeManager.cmd")
Is this necessary or can (or should) a "windows command" window be used?
If I understand correctly, you must use a windows command prompt ( start --> run--> cmd) in order to execute any startup script .
For nodemanager it is
Let me know if you need any further clarification .
