I don't remember what exactly caused the issue. (I think it was when Smart View installed path was different)
Can you check whether you and your colleague has Smart View in the same path. (I think this was solved in the latest version)

And do you know where I can check what version I am using?
Smart View ribbon -> Help -> About will give you the version.
Default Path is C:\Oracle\SmartView
