      Hi All,

What should be the best approach to create non-sparse tempfile in an AIX machine?

      DAtabase version is 11g R2

What i was looking for is, how to create a non-sparse file in os level before we can allocate that file to the temp tablespace to avoid future space issues that might occur due to sparse temp files.

For example in linux we can create a non-sparse file like below and allocate that file to the temp tablespace.

            !cp --sparse=never /u01/oradata/temp22.dbf

just for drill show working test case that shows you can utilize any existing OS  file (spare or not) as part of database without dealing with transportable tablespace.
