We have created a flashback data archive in Oracle 11g R2 and enabled few of the tables to use this data archive for their changes.
While we refresh our lower data environments (Development and UAT) using a production database, we are facing problem importing flashback tables. The metadata columns such as VERSIONS_STARTTIME, VERSIONS_ENDTIME, VERSIONS_OPERATION etc in the corresponding flashback tables (such as SYS_FBA_HIST_XXX for example) remains NULL and are not populated with correct metadata.
Please let me know how to correctly import flashback tables such that these metadata columns do not remain NULL but populated with correct values.
Thansk and Regards,
I've never tried to export/import FDA's but it seems there is some functionality missing in datapump for this - there seems to be a workaround though with some additional packages to create the missing mappings.
There is some info from Trivadis here : http://www.trivadis.com/uploads/tx_cabagdownloadarea/Flashback-Data-Archives-Rechecked-v1.4_final.pdf
I think you'll have to get the packages from oracle support via a support call though - not sure if they are directly available on MOS or not?
