    Mapviewer & OBIEE Integration Issue

      Hi All,

A couple of days i have tried to integrate OBIEE with mapviewer by a few different method. After lots of configuration process, as you like created new schema on db, imported sample spatial data in it and has defined a new data source in mapviewer admin console, i have a main question at that point.

I just have tested whether mapviewer was running or not, and it was seen ok in url, http://host_name:9704/mapviewer

So, how can i integrate this map on obiee analytics page ?

When i tried to import map layers/images in OBIEE 11g analytics / administration/manage map data page, i have an error like this "Unable to communicate with Oracle FMW mapviewer server".

I hope someone could help to me.

          1. With IE  it gives that kind of issue sometimes, Please use latest Mozilla.

First try with step 1 only.

          2. if in Mozilla also it gives the same message - then you need some entries in instanceconfig.xml.

          Under Marketing element  add this

          <RemoteOracleMapViewerAbsoluteURL></RemoteOracleMapViewerAbsoluteURL> <LayerDataLayout>

Please revert back which one has solved your issue and points please.

            Hi Krish,

First of all, thanks for your solution idea. Because of our company rules, i cant used Mozilla, so i didnt try step 1...

With the second solution step, after changed config file like above, still it was getting same error in IE .

I think, i need a compatible solution method with IE.

OK, then raise one SR, Oracle may give you some patch for IE.

At least try unofficially with Mozilla to check if it works ;-)
