Statements log does not display in SQL Developer 4.1 EA1

I wanted to open the new Statements Log, as show at 1:06 on http://youtu.be/LFMqTvvslN8, but in the Log pane, only Messages and Logging Page tabs are visible. If I invoke Window/Reset Windows To Factory Settings, Statements Log also does not display after clicking on the menu entry View/Log. A fresh SQL Developer profile, without importing settings from previous version also does not help.

From several attempts, I was able to show the Statements Log only once, but unfortunately, I'm unable to do so any more.

On the Logging Page, I have the following entry:

      SEVERE    136    0    oracle.dbtools.raptor.proxy.ProxyLogger    oracle.jdbc.proxy.ProxyFactory.setClassLoader(Ljava/lang/ClassLoader;)V

No errors are shown on the terminal where I invoked SQL Developer from using sqldeveloper/sqldeveloper.sh

      Software versions used:

      SQL Developer version: 4.1.0.17.29

      Oracle JDK: 1.8.0_31, 64bit, Linux

      Instant client: x64-12.1.0.2.0
