Ho to avoid errors during migration to OATM?

      Hi group,

I am working for a customer to migrate all the objects to OATM.

Inside of the Migration menu, I can see next indexes listed to be fixed or dropped before attempting to migrate objects to OATM.

Is it secure to remove "APPS" listed indexes before to start this migration to OATM?

      Thanks in advance.

            Hi,

I am trying to fix HR migration process, according to the report there is one index in HR schema that needs to be dropped.

            HR         IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX              CONTEXT          POPULATE

After dropping this index, I am getting this error in the error report for HR schema:

            SQL> drop index hr.IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX;

            Index dropped.

After that, I tried to run again the HR migration process, but it is failing with this error:

How can I avoid this error?

There is only one process remaining for HR migration.

            Thanks in advance.

            Kind regards,

You can try to recreate the IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX index as per the document which provided earlier by AppsMasti.

Note 743720.1 - Oracle Text: Re-installation and Rebuilding of Applications R12 Oracle Text Indexes

              -->8. Create the HR Text index preferences and indexes (27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33):

Then Verify the status of IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX index in ctxsys.ctx_indexes.

              Hope this Helps !

I have tried that, but I am getting this error:

                  Hi group,

I have recreated the index, and after that I am trying to finish HR schema migration, there are two pending commands in Migration Commands table, but it is failing with this error:

                  Column Name: Error_Text

                  DRG-10595: ALTER INDEX IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX failed

Any help or advice will be really appreciated.

                  Thanks in advance.

                    This is the migration command:

ALTER INDEX "HR"."IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX" REBUILD parameters ('replace storage APPS.TXN_IND_STORAGE_PREF')

                    Thanks in advance.

                      Kj - Kiran Jadhav

When did you drop the IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX? before or after generating the migration commands?

As this index was populated in an invalid index report. you should drop/correct this index before generating the migration commands.

                      HR IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX INDEX INTERMEDIA

ORA-01418: specified index does not exist

From this error, It looks like you have dropped after generating the migration commands.

To avoid such issues, you need to drop/correct invalid indexes before generating the commands so the valid index statements gets generated.

As you already recreated the IRC_DOCUMENTS_CTX index manually as per note then I think you can ignore this index error.

You can verify the status of this index in ctxsys.ctx_indexes (status should be Indexed), also check if this index is still showing in your old tablespace.

                      Thanks!

                        Hi group,

I am in the process to migrate "APPS" objects to OATM, it is almost finishing, but there a lot of segments remaining in APPLSYSD tablespace.

How can I move them to new OATM schema?

There are 738 segments still remaining in APPLSYSD tablespace.

Is there any way to attach this list?

                        Thanks in advance.

What is the segment_type for the objects left in APPLSYD tablespace?
