what you see depends on the NLS-settings of your tool.
In SQL Developer you can change it in
Tools - Preferences - Database - NLS -> Data format
Edit: some tools show the time part automatically when it is not 00:00:00. SQL Developer doesn't.
Add HH.MI.SS to the DATE format.
In Oracle, DATES always have a time component. There is no 'datetime' in Oracle, just DATE.
Set "Date Format" DD-MON-YYYY HH:MI:SS
Better to use 4-digit years. The time component is 12hours since you use AMERICA as territory but of course you can use any other display format like dd.mm.yyyy hh24:mi:ss
