Oracle EBS suite is mostly used as a backend system. In this case, maintenance operations will not interrupt the services offered by the companies to their customers.
There are CRM applications and "i" products (such as iReceivables) in Oracle EBS but many companies use other solutions that do not require extended downtime for maintenance.
Big companies have many servers and load balancing solutions that will guarantee the continuity of the operations during planned and unplanned downtime.
Thanks for the reply here !
I would like to know in more detail where do companies such as e-commerce and banks use Oracle E-Business suite like you said for backend systems and how do these companies transfer their data to and from EBS applications and frontend applications.
Could you advise on this ?
This is a huge subject that requires reading several books to understand in detail.
If you have a sample case on a specific front end system that needs to communicate with the back end system (Oracle EBS) then I might be able to provide you with some information about the subject.
